How to Use Colour in your Bid Document

The careful use of colour in your proposal documents is a super way of making them more readable.

You may remember us telling you not to use colour in your Bid Document. With every rule there is an exception. If you make the section headings coloured it will help draw the reader’s eye to them, thus making navigation easier. It can also be very effective in differentiating between text which has been provided by the customer and your own words. Tables and graphics always benefit from subtle colour or shading too.

You must remember that this will look good on screen and in the original hard copy but do not forget that most electronic copies will be printed in black only. This means you should not rely on colour for getting your message across.
