Lessons Learned From Proposals

When holding a review meeting after a proposal has been submitted, make sure any improvements identified are actually carried out.

The only way you will advance is to identify the areas which could have gone better and change something for future. It is frustrating for everyone when companies fail to make changes, even though they have identified what should be improved.

It is the bid manager’s responsibility to ensure the ‘lessons learned’ are implemented across the organisation. Do not leave improvements on your list of things ‘to do’.
