The Golden Rules of Bid Documents

I am often asked what the ‘most important’ thing is people need to know when writing a proposal. There are a great many key areas but these 5 cover the main ones:
  • Plan the document before you start writing make your document all about the customer, not about you
  • Make the document easy and enjoyable to read
  • Allow time to review and edit the document
  • Include everything the customer needs and nothing they don’t

These golden rules can be applied to high and low value contracts. They hold true for all sectors too.
